With granite cliffs

This river has a mind of its own and won’t give up secrets to just anyone.

But maybe it will today.

The Mighty MO has a mind of it’s own, for sure. It has meandered all over the place through the years. Have you been to the Riverboat museum in KC? A 19th century riverboat (“The Arabian”) sank near KC. As the river changed course through the years, the boat was left to sink deeper in the mud that eventually became a farmer’s field. Legends grew up about “a boat out there somewhere in the field.” Finally, some business men in KC decided to try to find it. They did! To their surprise, it was in perfect condition along with the all the household and personal supplies that had been intended for country stores along the river.

It is an amazing museum, if you haven’t seen it.
