emerges a stone-boundaried path
in the shape of a spiral
winding to a center
in which stands
an unmarked stone altar
on top of which
unknown hands
arranged another spiral
of little pebbles and twigs
at the center of which
lay a cross of two sticks
lashed by the stem of a flower
vitalwholeness 
It begs for a pause . . .
